Seven years working at the Centre, the longest ‘temporary’ job I’ve had. The reason? I loved it! Supportive and friendly colleagues, laughter with dealers, questions and intrigue from customers, heirlooms and boxes of curios for appraisal and valuation. No two days were the same, a wonderfully stimulating work environment!

I can confidently say, as one of the newest members to join the team, that I have never been so readily welcomed into a more friendly and warm working atmosphere. As an out of work Actor, with no previous experience of dealing with antiquities, I have been given ample time and encouragement to expand on my current knowledge, something that I have relished and enjoyed immensely. As a family run business, the ethos of camaraderie and operating as a team, really does make the Centre a great place to work.

One of the most satisfying aspects of working at Lyndhurst Antique Centre is hearing the positive comments and feedback from our customers as they browse the shop. It is a friendly, relaxed and happy place to work in, and be part of a great team. We see a large number of returning customers and build up a great rapport with our regular visitors. This also extends to the dealers, and we always look forward to seeing what items they bring into the centre.

A customer focused role in a bustling tourist destination – Lyndhurst Antiques Centre is a really interesting, enjoyable and rewarding place to work. Within the Centre of more than forty dealers, we have a good positive atmosphere, enjoyed by both customers and the fantastic friendly team alike who work there. Being surrounded by nostalgia invokes countless cases of customers recalling childhood experiences and sharing memories which is fascinating. Having been a member of staff since 2017 I am looking forward to many more years working in the Centre with such lovely people.
